Description
The Valley of the Cobras is a 1951 comic book by Hergé, the creator of Tintin. It is the first in the series The Adventures of Jo, Zette and Jocko, which follows the adventures of two young siblings and their pet monkey.
The story begins when Jo, Zette, and Jocko are on a skiing holiday in the Alps. They accidentally hit a Maharajah with a snowball, and he invites them to his palace in India. On the way to the palace, their plane crashes in the Himalayas. Jo, Zette, and Jocko are rescued by a group of snake worshippers, who take them to their village in the Valley of the Cobras.
The snake worshippers are a peaceful people, but they are threatened by a group of bandits who are trying to steal their sacred cobra idols. Jo, Zette, and Jocko help the snake worshippers to defend themselves, and they eventually defeat the bandits.
The Valley of the Cobras is a classic Hergé adventure story, with all the usual ingredients: exotic locations, dangerous enemies, and a brave and resourceful trio of heroes. It is also a story about friendship, courage, and respect for other cultures.
