Can I return the Book in case I have received wrong title or I am not satisfied with the quality of the book?
Under our buyer’s protection, we allow the customers to return the book if:-
- Wrong book is received
- Book is damaged or defective
- The book’s condition is not as described in the listing. Please make sure to check book’s condition in listing and visit our book’s condition page for more information.
Under the Easy Return policy of Old Book Depot, we offer reverse pickup. Customers won’t have to worry about return shipping as we will take care of it. Customers won’t be charged any money for reverse pickup.
However you will have to initiate the return process within 4 days of receiving the book as our logistic partners provide return pickups for shipments within 4 days from date of delivery. Since we are unable to reverse pick the items after 4 days due to logistic limitation, we won’t be able to issue refund to you.
Please note that any return request made after 4 days will not be entertained. We reserve the right to reject return requests made after the said timeframe.
Refund will be initiated once the reverse pickup is done by our courier partner.
Reverse Pickup Rules
Reverse pickup request will be generated once we have received accepted your return request. The pickup will be arranged in the next business day. Please note that only 2 reverse pickup attempts will be made after which we hold the right to reject your return request. You will be contacted by our courier partner for reverse pickup. Please make sure that your phone no. is available.
You must pack the book properly for the reverse pickup. There is no need to put label on the packet as it will be taken care by us.
You can not contact the buyer and directly send the book back to him. In such situation we won’t be responsible for issuing refund.
Can I return the book if I am not happy with content?
Unfortunately we don’t accept returns if you didn’t like the book. Furthermore no return request will be entertained for the following reasons:-
- You have changed your mind and don’t want the book.
- You accidentally ordered wrong book. In such case please cancel the order before its shipped.
- You want to exchange book for different title.
- You accidentally ordered the book thinking its new.
If you wish to cancel the order for any reason then please go to My Orders Page and you will see option to cancel your order. Your cancellation request will be processed within 12 hours and refund will be issued if order is prepaid.
Refund will be initiated via our payment gateway Instamojo. Once your cancellation request has been accepted and order has been cancelled, we will raise a refund request on your behalf to Instamojo. Within 1-2 days, your refund will be initiated. It takes Instamojo 8 to 12 days to refund the amount.
Please note that order can be cancelled only before its shipped. Once we have shipped the order, its not possible for us to cancel it. Once the status of order has been changed to shipped, you won’t see option to cancel the order.
When will I get refund?
As mentioned above refund will be issued after pickup is done by our courier partner. For cash on delivery orders, we will contact you to get your bank details for payment. For prepaid orders, refund will be made through your original mode of payment.
It takes 8-12 business days for our payment portal to credit refund in your bank account once the refund has been initiated.
