Description
“Asterix in Spain” is a comic book written by René Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo, first published in 1969. It is part of the beloved Asterix series, which follows the adventures of a Gaulish warrior named Asterix and his companion Obelix in Roman-occupied ancient Gaul.
In this particular adventure, Asterix and Obelix travel to Hispania (ancient Spain) to help a village of Iberian warriors resist Roman occupation. The story is filled with humor, puns, and cultural references, as the characters encounter various Spanish stereotypes and traditions.
As with other Asterix comics, “Asterix in Spain” combines historical settings with fantastical elements, including the magic potion that gives Asterix and his fellow Gauls superhuman strength. The comic celebrates themes of friendship, courage, and resistance against oppression, all while delivering plenty of laughs and entertaining adventures.
