Description
“Asterix and the Falling Sky” is the 33rd comic book in the Asterix series created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. This album was published in 2005, and it’s the first one where Albert Uderzo handled both the writing and the artwork after the passing of René Goscinny.
In “Asterix and the Falling Sky,” the story takes a humorous twist with the arrival of aliens from a distant planet called Tadsilweny. These aliens, known as “Tadsilwenyians,” are parodies of American pop culture, with their appearance resembling popular comic book superheroes like Superman. The Tadsilwenyians possess advanced technology, including a giant robot. The plot revolves around the efforts of the Gaulish village to resist the invasion of these aliens and protect their precious magic potion from being stolen.
This installment is known for its playful satire and the inclusion of various pop culture references, making it a departure from some of the earlier Asterix albums. While it’s not considered one of the most iconic entries in the series, it still retains the essence of humor and adventure that fans of Asterix have come to love over the years.
