Description
“Murder on the Orient Express” is one of Agatha Christie’s most famous and celebrated detective novels. It was first published in 1934 and features her iconic Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot.
The story is set on the luxurious train, the Orient Express, traveling from Istanbul to Calais. During the journey, a wealthy American named Ratchett is found murdered in his compartment. Poirot is on board the train and is asked to investigate the crime. As he delves into the case, he discovers that many of the passengers have motives to kill Ratchett, who is revealed to be an American gangster named Cassetti responsible for a notorious child abduction and murder.
The novel is known for its clever plot twist at the end, where Poirot reveals a solution that involves a collaborative effort by the passengers to bring about justice for the earlier crime
