Tintin: The Lake of Sharks by Herge

“The Lake of Sharks” is not an original Tintin book by Hergé. It is actually a movie that was produced in 1972 by Belvision Studios, a Belgian animation studio. The movie was based on the Tintin comics and was loosely adapted from two of Hergé’s earlier works, “The Seven Crystal Balls” and “Prisoners of the Sun”.

In the movie, Tintin, Snowy, and his friends Captain Haddock and Professor Calculus are invited to attend the unveiling of a new invention by Professor Calculus, a machine that can turn water into diamonds. However, things take a dangerous turn when they discover that the invention has been stolen by a criminal organization led by a mysterious figure known only as “The Shark”.

While “The Lake of Sharks” is not an original Tintin book, it was still popular among fans of the series and has been released on DVD and Blu-ray. However, it is important to note that the movie is not considered part of the official Tintin canon, as it was not written or illustrated by Hergé.
