Description
Rolland’s book on Rousseau is among his best works. Rolland wrote his study of Rousseau in the early months of 1938 in response to a commission from an American publisher. The aim was purely and simply to present Rousseau to not just American public but people around the world who know little about him, by means of a short introductory essay and a choice of extracts.
