Description

Really great suspense novel. Kept me up most of the night. The alcoholic narrator is dead perfect’ STEPHEN KING

Rachel catches the same commuter train every morning. She knows it will wait at the same signal each time, overlooking a row of back gardens. She’s even started to feel like she knows the people who live in one of the houses. ‘Jess and Jason’, she calls them. Their life – as she sees it – is perfect. If only Rachel could be that happy.

And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough.

Now everything’s changed. Now Rachel has a chance to become a part of the lives she’s only watched from afar.

Now they’ll see; she’s much more than just the girl on the train…”

  1. Satyajit Swain (Verified Purchase)

Ms. Hawkins’ writing is superb. The writing is first person POV, but the POV switches between three main female characters. They are all fleshed out in vivid detail; their individual quirks, dysfunctions, and denial.

  2. Sk. Wasim (Verified Purchase)

Clever exciting and full of twists… !!!!!

  3. aditya prakash (Verified Purchase)

A gripping page-turner, but not until about 2/3 into the book, which maybe is par for thrillers. I almost didn’t bother finishing at about halfway, when I read the one-star poor reviews here. I identified with their complaints: unlikeable, neurotic characters; but NOT with their disappointment of the story’s resolution. I found it very satisfying and gripping to the very last page.

  4. Vijay Pangare (Verified Purchase)

The novel is dark and fast-paced, the characters are complex and the plot is compelling. Highly recommended for thriller fans. Five big, bright, shiny stars

  5. Rachit Shah (Verified Purchase)

while the quality of pages, printing, packing and delivery are all good, the book itself was disappointing. I had expected a thriller like ‘Gone Girl’ but it turned out to be nothing like that. The novel started out well, dwindled in the middle and ended as a let down.
