  1. Dhirendra Ray (Verified Purchase)

The author takes a lot of liberties with the actual Ramayan but he seems to have some rather interesting ideas. You will not like it perhaps if you would like one to adhere to the original story you will find it worthwhile if you like considerable creativity in the interpretation of the story.

  2. Amit Dhayal (Verified Purchase)

The book does justice to the style of Amish’s writing. Having gone through the Shiva trilogy a couple of times, I have to say that this book seems a little more philosophy oriented than any of the books in the former. I was expecting to be bored by the extremely long monologues about law/dharma, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it all make sense.

  3. Ayashi Rathaur (Verified Purchase)

This is a very interesting retelling of the Ramayana. I’ve read all the 3 books in this series so far and waiting for the 4th one!

  4. Prakash Bhavsar (Verified Purchase)

As always, Amish has done a brilliant job in explaining the beautiful intricacies of the ancient world by logically explaining why Ram and Sita did what they did.

  5. Santosh Sharma (Verified Purchase)

The book was a good read as such but Amish could have avoided modifying historical events only for the purpose of creating an impact. For instance, replacing the plot of Sita’s Swayamvara with Arjun’s feat of shooting the Fish’s eye in Mahabharata was totally not needed.
