The juxtaposing of reality and fantasy, the poetic flow of the narrative and a non judgemental view of life evident throughout the novel fills you with joy and sadness simultaneously. One of the best novels that I have ever read.

This is an amazing book. I loved the language and the style of narration (I am not much of a voracious reader). Though it was a bit confusing to keep track of the names and the lineage of the Aureliano/Arcadio family, the plot and the depth of the characters was truly amazing and riveting. I would highly recommend this book just for the portfolio of emotions the characters demonstrate in the book.

Just midway through it and loving the magical realism of Marquez. I thought Murakami was a master of the genre but someone recommended Marquez, and isn’t he leagues ahead?

One of the best story telling, magical realism at its best. After a point in the novel one is so frustrated with the history of this family that they will throw the book away only to return again next day. Irresistible to leave in middle.
Book was in good shape, cover is attractive. Font size comfortable.
