Description

“A Game of Thrones” by George R.R. Martin is the first novel in the epic fantasy series, “A Song of Ice and Fire.” As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the series is planned to consist of seven books. However, as of that time, only five books had been published. Here is a list of the books in the series:

  1. A Game of Thrones (1996)
    • The story begins with intrigue, political maneuvering, and the introduction of noble families in the fictional land of Westeros. Eddard Stark, a nobleman, is appointed as the Hand of the King, setting off a chain of events that will change the fate of the realm.
  2. A Clash of Kings (1998)
    • The Seven Kingdoms are in turmoil as several claimants vie for the Iron Throne. Civil war rages across the land as the struggle for power intensifies.
  3. A Storm of Swords (2000)
    • The War of the Five Kings rages on, and the threat from beyond the Wall in the North becomes more pronounced. Intrigue, battles, and betrayals continue to shape the destinies of the characters.
  4. A Feast for Crows (2005)
    • This installment focuses on events in the southern regions of Westeros, as the war-torn kingdom seeks to recover from the conflicts of the past books. New perspectives are introduced.
  5. A Dance with Dragons (2011)
    • The story moves forward in time and provides new perspectives on characters and events. Daenerys Targaryen’s quest to reclaim the Iron Throne gains momentum, and new challenges arise.

This is not a boxed set. All 7 books were from different editions but the deal is so great that such things doesn’t matter. However if you are looking for complete boxed edition then skip this one.
